Terms Overview

Early-access terms for using Beenli with your hive.

This page explains, in simple, human-readable language, how we expect Beenli to be used during early access. It is not yet a full, lawyer-reviewed Terms of Service. It is a starting point — a warm, transparent overview that will grow as Beenli grows.

In short

Beenli is a gentle family tool for helping kids connect effort with rewards. While we’re in early access, we ask that you use it with the same good will and care you’d bring to any family ritual. These points summarize what matters most right now:

  • No money movement: Beenli does not move or hold real money. Honey is symbolic — it can represent pocket money, screen time, treats, or anything your family agrees on.
  • Adult responsibility: A single adult account owner is responsible for the household’s setup, trust mode, PINs, and approvals. Kids never “own” accounts in Beenli — they simply use the shared family space.
  • Early-access changes: Features, pricing, and policies may evolve as we learn from families. We will communicate meaningful changes as clearly and respectfully as possible.

What this page covers

The sections below outline the topics we expect to cover in the full Terms of Service. They are placeholders today — they let families and reviewers see how our thinking is developing before the formal legal version arrives.

1. Definitions (future detail)

A complete Terms document will define key concepts like "Beenli", "hive", "adult account owner", and "household member". For now, assume that "you" refers to the adult who created and manages your family’s Beenli account.

2. License to use Beenli

The future Terms will grant you a limited license to use Beenli for personal, non-commercial family use. It will clarify that things like reselling access, scraping, reverse engineering, or harming the service are not allowed. During early access, we simply ask that you use Beenli in reasonable, family-friendly ways.

3. Billing and subscriptions

Beenli is free during early access. As we approach paid plans, this section will describe how subscriptions work, how billing is handled through providers such as Stripe, and what happens if payments fail or trials expire. Today, there are no charges for using Beenli with your family.

4. Acceptable use

A future acceptable-use section will outline behaviors that aren't appropriate — including harassment, sharing harmful content, or attempts to interfere with Beenli’s operation. While the full list is coming later, we ask that you use Beenli in ways that are kind, lawful, and appropriate for homes with children.

5. Disclaimers and limits

Most Terms documents include disclaimers about uptime, data loss, and limits of liability. We expect to add those here as Beenli matures. While in early access, it’s safest to think of Beenli as a helpful tool that may change, pause, or experience downtime as we improve it.

6. Contact for questions or concerns

The full Terms of Service will explain how to contact us for formal disputes or requests. For now, if something about Beenli’s behavior worries you or doesn’t feel right, please reach out at hello@beenli.com. We want to hear from you.
