Frequently asked questions

Answers for curious parents and caregivers.

Still wondering how Beenli fits your hive? These short answers cover the most common questions we hear from parents about money, devices, and how the system stays fair.

Is Beenli an allowance app?

Not really. Beenli is an earn-based system. Kids only collect honey when they actually help — feeding the dog, wiping the table, watering plants, and all the small things that keep the hive running.

Do I need to assign chores?

No. Instead of a chore chart, kids self-select tasks from the family’s “garden.” They tap what they did, you review it later, and together you decide how much honey it’s worth.

Is Beenli a bank account?

No real money moves through Beenli. Honey is a tracker your family controls. You can connect it to pocket money, but you still handle any actual transfers outside the app.

Can honey represent something other than money?

Yes. Honey can stand for screen time, cookies, game tokens, stickers, playtime — anything your family agrees on. The important part is that kids see how their effort turns into something meaningful.

Can kids cheat the system?

Kids can tap “I did it,” but nothing becomes real honey until a grown-up approves it. Parent review, optional PIN, and trust modes mean the hive stays fair while still assuming good intent.

What devices does Beenli work on?

Beenli runs in the browser, so it works on phones, tablets, laptops, and shared family devices. Most families keep it pinned on a tablet or kitchen laptop everyone can reach.

When will paid plans launch?

Right now Beenli is free while we learn from early families in beta. Future paid plans will roll out once things feel rock solid — you can join the waitlist from this page to hear when that happens.
